Dave Brown was a one-of-a-kind personality with a heart as big as a mountain. Dave’s impact was different for each of us, but his influence helped shape our individual and collective goals. He was strong-willed and sometimes outspoken but always respectful of contrasting views. We will miss his dry, quick-witted sense of humor and his deep appreciation of irony.
We wish his family the very best.

With a name like Ty Seattle Thunder, undoubtably one of the first questions he is asked in introductions is how does anyone end up with a name like that? The answer comes from his background as a second generation Thai American. Thai names generally have a direct meaning and an aspirational value associated with them. As his mother immigrated to the US when she was his age, she gained a great respect for the Native American heritage that the city of Seattle gets its namesake from while living in it. So, to reflect her journey, Ty is Seattle’s American name and Seattle is his Thai name.
From a young age, Seattle was interested in everything music and learned to play piano and cello. This developed into a passion for composition and music production. While he studied mechanical engineering in Indiana, he spent his free time learning audio engineering and the art of mixing and mastering. Through working in the AV industry, Seattle blends his passion for deeply understanding complex systems with his creativity to bring a fresh perspective to solving the technical challenges that Madrona Digital faces.
